Approximately 2×106 Mia-PaCa-2 cells were inoculated subcutaneously with 0.1 ml of Matrigel to nude mice. One day before tumoral cell inoculation, the control group received an intraperitoneal injection of 150 µl of PBS, whereas the assay group received 0.25 mg of reg4 monoclonal antibody in 150 µl of PBS. Vehicle buffer or anti-reg4 antibody was injected weekly in animals. Tumor dimensions were measured once weekly and tumor volumes calculated with the formula length × width × depth ×0.5236. Gemcitabine (100 mg/kg) was injected intraperitoneally twice a week. Values are expressed as mean +/− SE (n = 6).
