The proposed model of the tandem G-quadruplex structure formed in the hTERT core promoter. The two G-quadruplexes formed by G-tracts 1–4 (G4-1:3:1) and G-tracts 5, 6, 11, and 12 (G4-3:26:1) are linked by the sequence C19–G25.
