pERp1 is a component of the BiP chaperone complex. (A) Ag8(8) cells were treated with or without DSP and γ HC were precipitated with Protein A-Sepharose. Isolated proteins were analyzed by immunoblotting as indicated. Total cellular lysate (5% input) was used to assess the amount of proteins coprecipitating with HC. (B) Ag8.653 cells were treated with DSP, lysed, and the BiP complex was immunoprecipitated with anti-BiP. The same procedure was performed with Protein A Sepharose alone as a control.
