SOD activity in patients was estimated by the method of Misra and Fridovich. Activity of XO was estimated by the method of Fried and Fried. Levels of MDA was determined by Ohkawa et al. Values are presented as mean ± SD. Statistical significance of the groups was determined by one way ANOVA followed by Newmann-Keul's multiple comparison test. p values: Superoxide dismutase (SOD), Group 1 vs. Group 2 p < 0.05; Group 3 vs. Group 4 p > 0.05.
