Each lane contained 10 μg of total RNA from: the reproductive shoot meristem, including shoot, root, and leaf primordia (lane 1), coiled young reproductive leaves 1-cm long, without petioles (lane 2); expanding reproductive leaves lacking the petiole (lane 3); mature reproductive leaves with spores (lane 4); expanded vegetative leaves without petioles (lane 5); petioles of reproductive leaves (lane 6); entire roots (lane 7); male gametophytes (lane 8); and mutant hermaphroditic1 (4) hermaphroditic gametophytes (lane 9).
