Total numbers of TRPM5-GFP+ and non-GFP cells tested are indicated as well as the fraction responding. Responses to denatonium and phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) were suspected to be mediated through a T2R signaling cascade involving PLC. Therefore, the ability of responses to denatonium and PTC to be blocked with U73122 (a PLC inhibitor) was tested and the resulting fraction blocked is indicated.
