Pooled organs from 3 fish per age group were dissected and flash frozen in liquid nitrogen until used. Protein was extracted using CHAPS buffer and 1 ug of total protein used in a TRAP assay. Results are shown as OD (450–690) above background (Rnase treated lysates). All samples performed in duplicate. WKM denotes whole kidney marrow.
