The average of each specific individual telomere length in each CML case was compared with its corresponding individual telomere length in normal control group. Short or long individual telomeres in each leukemia sample were defined when their respective lengths were statistically (P < .05) shorter (black columns) or longer (white columns) than the corresponding individual telomere length in normal control. If there was no statistical difference, they were considered as maintained (gray columns). (A) Individual telomere on the chromosome short arm.
