When pointing to the floor targets, the lowest arm elevation should be highly correlated with the fastest arm azimuth velocity (lowest elevation  =  fastest arm velocity). During both SW and BW, a high correlation was observed, whereas a much lower correlation was observed for IM. This figure includes the data for one representative participant. In the overall analysis, correlations were performed for each participant's data and averaged across all participants. The data indicated by the different tones of grey represent individual trials for one participant.
