(A) CoPA axons (arrows) were labeled with anti-CON1 (green). (B, C) Descending interneurons (yellow asterisks) were backfilled with tetramethylrhodamine–dextran (tmRh–dextran) at somite 10. Sites of contact between CoPA axons and filled interneurons are visible also in single optical sections (insets in C). Backfilled RB axons (arrowheads) do not contact the backfilled interneurons.
