The uncertainties were estimated by a Monte Carlo simulation. The number of Monte Carlo iterations was 100. To generate the synthetic data sets for the simulation, noise was added to the coexistence spectra and compositions but not to spectra and compositions on the coexistence curve.

These give the value of b, defined in Figure 4B, which gives the location on the coexistence curve.
