wt NC nuclear localization is Kap123 dependent, but zinc-binding domain mutant NC C267A nuclear localization is not. BY4741 and its kap123Δ derivative were transformed with wt NC-2×GFP or NC(C267A)-2×GFP. Cells were induced for NC-2×GFP expression for 2 h, and direct fluorescence microcopy was performed.
