A, B. C57BL/6 mice were treated with CCl4 or vehicle for up to 4 weeks, and then killed 24 h post the last injection. Liver lymphocytes were analyzed by FACS. Total numbers of NK cells (NK1.1+CD3-) and NKT cells (NK1.1+CD3+ or CD3+CD1d/α-GalCer+) were counted. C. Liver lymphocytes were also analyzed with anti-NK1.1 and anti-CD3 antibodies and Annexin V to determine NKT cell apoptosis. D. Splenocytes were isolated from mice in panel A and analyzed by FACS.
