lon2 deg15 double mutants do not process PTS2-containing proteins and have thiolase accumulation defects. Immunoblots of protein extracted from 3-, 5-, and 7-d-old wild type and lon2 single and double mutants (seven seedlings per lane). Seeds were stratified for 6 d prior to plating. Blots were sequentially probed with anti-PED1 (thiolase), PMDH2, MLS, and HSC70 antibodies.
