Clinical features of the cataract. A: The photograph of the affected boy demonstrates a nuclear cataract in both eyes surrounded by a ring-shaped opacity in both eyes. B: After operation in the right eye, the lens is clear and the "red dot" effect can be observed after flash-light photography. The left eye remains opaque.
