Table 1. Plk1 phosphorylation consensus sequences in IP₃Rs.

The sequences of IP₃R1, IP₃R2 and IP₃R3 of various species were examined for the presence of Plk1 consensus sites. Four highly conserved Plk1 consensus sites were found in IP₃R1, centered around the phosphorylable amino acids T¹⁰⁴⁸, S¹⁴⁹², S¹⁷⁹⁰ and T²⁶⁵⁶ of mouse IP₃R1. Only the sequences around S1492 and T²⁶⁵⁶ were conserved in IP₃R2 and IP₃R3. See text for more information.
