Tcf4 probably functions as a transcription activator in oligodendrocyte progenitors. Double immunofluorescence with antibodies to Tcf4 (red) and β-catenin (green) shows that Tcf4 is coexpressed with nuclear β-catenin in both P5 spinal cord white matter (top row) and mixed glia cell cultures (bottom row). Thus, Tcf4 is most likely functioning as a transcription activator in these cells. For details, see Results.
