Glucocorticoid effect on GABA synaptic inputs was not mediated by endocannabinoids. Summary histograms show the mIPSC frequency (Freq) response to Dex in the presence of cannabinoid receptor antagonists. The CB1 antagonists SR141716 (1 μm) and O-2050 (1 μm) failed to inhibit the Dex-induced increase in mIPSC frequency. The CB1 antagonists increased the basal mIPSC frequency, suggesting an endocannabinoid inhibitory tone on GABA release.
