SPR sensorgrams (solid lines) and fitted functions (dashed lines) for rabbit FGF-1 (a) and human FGF-1 (b). The FGF-1 concentrations for the rabbit and human proteins spanned 12.5, 25, 50, 100 and 200 nM. In these SPR studies FGF-1 protein is the ‘analyte’ and the FGFR1c protein (comprising extracellular domains D2 and D3) is the ‘ligand’. The FGFR1c ligand is immobilized on an SA streptavidin chip via biotinylation (see text for details). The fitted values of the association and dissociation rate constants and the derived K d are given in Table 4 ▶.
