Absolute levels of physiological traits (F_v/F_m, shoot chlorophyll content and shoot carotenoid content) were measured as described in the Methods in plantlets grown for 2 weeks in the absence of atrazine and transferred for 5 d in the absence or presence of 10 µM atrazine. The whole set of accessions and of data was analysed. No significant correlation at P < 0·05 was found.
