Relative specific activities were measured for the HTLV-1 125 PR (upper panel) and for the HTLV-1 120 PR (lower panel) as a function of dimeric enzyme concentration at a final substrate (KTKVFVVQPK) concentration of 1 mM, in 50 mM sodium acetate buffer (pH 5.0), 100 mM NaCl using an HPLC assay. The obtained apparent Kd values were 491 ± 119 nM for HTLV-1 125 PR and > 3000 nM for HTLV-1 120 PR.
