The distribution of exposure for first-generation antipsychotics, lithium, tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) met our operational criteria for inclusion in the analysis. Participants with bipolar I had greater exposure to first generation antipsychotics (upper left) and lithium (lower left) whereas those with bipolar II tended to have greater exposure for antidepressants (right).
