AC5 expression varies by age in pig hearts. Western blot analysis of AC5 expression in pig hearts showed highest levels in neonatal animals. Equal amounts of membrane preparations (25 μg) were compared between neonatal (day 1), young (2 to 3 mo), and adult (5 to 6 mo) pig hearts (n = 4). Pan-cadherin was used as a loading control.
