STAT3 is involved in melanoma growth. WM1205Lu cells were plated at a density of 1 × 105 cells in 10-cm tissue culture dishes. On the following day (day 0), the cells were transfected with control siRNA (40 nm) or STAT3 siRNAs, si-1 and si-2 (40 nm). Left, on day 6 the triplicate dishes were trypsinized, and the cell number was counted (left). Data are expressed as fold increase of cell number from day 0 to day 6 and are shown as mean ± S.D.
