DNMT1 mRNA content decreases while DNMT3a mRNA increases in aged (30 DIV) compared to 1 DIV CGC grown both in serum-free (B27 supplement) and serum-containing conditions. The mRNA levels of DNMT1 (panel A) and DNMT3a (panel B) were measured by real-time PCR. The results were normalized against the corresponding cyclophilin contents and are presented as units (see text).
