A) Murine PBMC separated from heparin treated blood of five mice were cultured in RPMI-based serum-free medium for 5 days at 2.5 × 105 cells per ml in the presence or absence of 2-mercaptoethanol. Cells were then air-dried, fixed, stained, and fibrocytes were enumerated by morphology. Representative data of three independent experiments. Results are mean ± SD.
