C, MTA1+/+, MTA1−/−, and MTA1−/−/MTA1 MEFs were treated with 10 Gy of IR and harvested after 2 h of IR treatment for qPCR analysis of p53R2 mRNA levels. D, MTA1+/+, MTA1−/−, and MTA1−/−/MTA1 MEFs were left untreated or treated with 10 Gy of IR, and harvested at the indicated time points. Single cell gel electrophoresis (comet assay) was carried out, and the relative comet tail moment was measured. The changes in percentage of the relative comet tail moment between treatment (irradiation) and control shown in all histograms represent the averages of three independent experiments (n = 50).
