Binding of bio-ABA to CD38⁺/LANCL2⁺ HeLa cells. 24 h after transfection with the empty vector (e and f), or with LANCL2 plasmid (a–d), cells were incubated with 10 μm bio-ABA, in the absence (a and e) or in the presence (c and d) of excess unlabeled ABA (1 mm) for 5 min at 0 °C. Cells were then washed and incubated with Alexa 633-strp for a further 5 min. Images are from one representative experiment out of four, giving closely comparable results.
