PSE shifts due to exogenous attention are greater on the South vertical meridian (left-most and right-most bars), than when the cue is in the North (center pair of bars). Panel B: control condition, 500 ms SOA. When the interval exceeds the duration of exogenous attention, the peripheral cues have no effect on PSE.
