Measured by ELISA per mg of protein. Means ± S.E.M. from three to seven experiments, each performed in duplicate or in triplicate. Absorbance values were normalized to the values obtained in cell samples from pristine PE, i.e., given as a percentage of the values on pristine PE. ANOVA, Student-Newman-Keuls method.
