COS cells were cotransfected with pcDNA3-FLAG-IOP1 and pEGFP-IscA1 and constructs encoding for either EGFP (A), EGFP fused to truncated versions of IscA1 (B), or EGFP fused to IscA1 with the indicated cysteine residue substitutions (D). The FLAG-IOP1 was immunoprecipitated with anti-FLAG antibodies, and the immunoprecipitates (IP) were examined for the absence or presence of IscA1 using anti-green fluorescent protein (GFP) antibodies.
