Backbone RMSDs for the four individual streptavidin monomers are shown in the left panel. Overall, the tetramer RMSD shown in the right panel is only slightly greater than the average monomer RMSD. Figure 2 shows that the monomer RMSD is driven primarily by one highly flexible loop.
