A. Under calcium-free conditions, spontaneous subthreshold responses were recorded from a PC (upper panel). Responses were notably inhibited when 100 nM Aβ42 was applied for 10 min. (middle panel), and recovered following a 10 min. washout (lower panel). B. Statistical analysis: The frequency of spontaneous subthreshold activity was significantly reduced by applying intermediate doses of Aβ42 (p = 0.025, n = 6) and recovered on washout (p = 0.445). C.
