Figure 4. — Numbers of differentially expressed (DE) genes and differential connectivity (DC) genes across time. At time point 3 right after the meal, there are large numbers of DE and DC genes. Large numbers of DC genes at time points 3 and 5 corresponds to large number changes of DE genes. This indicates that DE and DC genes reflect different types of biological system change.
