Splenocytes and T cell subsets are unaltered in double knock-out (DKO) mice, but their surface CD3 and CD8 are down-regulated. Total splenocytes were prepared, counted and stained for surface expression of CD3, CD4 and CD8, as described in the Methods section. Total splenocyte numbers in Cnab^−/− and DKO mice are shown (a).
