Simulation results of the model described in Fig. 3. Macromolecular crowding agents were assumed to increase the on-rate constants for complex formation (k1, k−2, k3,k−4, k5, and k−6) by a factor α and to decrease the off-rate constants for complex dissociation (k−1, k2, k−3, k4, k−5, and k6) by the same factor α.
