Note that Na2S treatment after combined injury resulted in arterial partial pressure of oxygen/fraction of inspired oxygen (PaO2/FiO2) ratio recovery after 48 h. Comparisons were made using two-way analysis of variance with a Tukey-Kramer post hoc procedure. There were only two animals in the control group from 72 to 96 h. *P≤ 0.05 versus control.
