Upregulated ACTH response to immune stimuli in adult FAE male rats. In these experiments, the dams were fed a liquid alcohol diet during gestation. ACTH released by IL-1β, LPS or turpentine in intact control, pair-fed and alcohol male (A) and female (B) rats tested at 9 weeks of age. Each bar represents the mean ± SEM of 6 animals.
