Transcription factors (TFs) activity on both mouse and human Nxnl1 promoter constructs. (A) Assay with the murine 4.2 kb Nxnl1 5′ upstream region. (B) Assay with the human 2.1 kb NXNL1 5′ upstream region. The TFs were tested by transient transfection of 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 µg of plasmid coding for each candidate TFs and 0.1 µg of reporter plasmid in HEK 293 cells and assessed by dual luciferase assays. The results were normalized by using an internal control plasmid (Renilla) driven by the thymidin kinase promoter. Each experiment was repeated in triplicate.
