IPTG induction of bosR results in increased synthesis of borrelial proteins involved in the oxidative stress response. JH211 cultures were grown with increasing concentrations of IPTG, ranging from no added IPTG up to 5 mM IPTG. Cell lysates from each treatment condition were resolved by SDS-PAGE, immobilized on PVDF membranes, and probed with antisera for several different antigens, as designated on the left.
