Expression of BBA05 is under the control of the Rrp2-RpoN-RpoS pathway. Wild-type B. burgdorferi strain BbAH130 (wt), the rrp2 mutant [rrp2(G239C)], and the rpoS mutant were cultivated at 35°C in BSK-H medium (pH 7.5) and harvested at late-logarithmic growth. Relative levels of BBA05 expression were determined by qRT-PCR analyses and are reported as the numbers of the BBA05 transcript per 10,000 copies of the flaB transcript.
