Microbicidal activities of peptide sequences^a

^aShown are microbicidal activities of peptide sequence 14-31 (QPEATKCFQWQRNMRKVR) and of the series of peptides resulting from the removal of one amino acid at a time from the N-terminal end of peptide sequence 14-31 to the sequence 22-31. Microbial strains were incubated in BHI_dil for 2 h at 37°C in the presence of 25 μg/ml of each peptide, except for E. coli O6 and C. albicans, which were incubated with 10 μg/ml. All samples were run in duplicate.
