Surface-rendered fluorescence for CD41 antigen (green) and VWF fluorescence (red) reveals the linear surface adhesion of VWF on the platelet surface from animals expressing a PT-VWD mutation. The example shown to the right highlights the linear nature of the bound VWF and the ability of VWF to bridge platelets and support micro-aggregate formation.
