Table 2.

Characteristics of analysed samples.

Analysed samples
Cadrenal/Civc1.1–1.99 Cadrenal/Civc2–2.99 Cadrenal/Civc3–4.99 Cadrenal/Civc5–9.99 Cadrenal/Civc≥10
Number of analysed samples (right sided) 44 (42) 25 (23) 25 (25) 20 (10) 111 (58)
Cadrenal/Civc of analysed samples 1.41 (1.10–1.94) 2.60 (2.00–2.98) 3.62 (3.00–4.89) 8.46 (6.19–9.69) 20.00 (10.00–86.84)
Cadrenal/Civc of ipsilateral reference samples 28.32 (13.00–80.70) 24.46 (10.60–80.70) 32.38 (10.23–70.59) 16.45 (11.11–72.50) 25.54 (11.40–94.74)
Cadrenal/Civc of contralateral reference samples 18.01 (10.60–54.33) 20.30 (11.04–20.30) 24.55 (13.93–90.00) 17.44 (10.00–70.00) 23.94 (10.23–94.74)

Analysed samples were divided into five groups according to the Cadrenal/Civc. Reference samples were defined by the highest Cadrenal/Civc achieved in a given adrenal. Ipsilateral and contralateral reflect the relation to the analysed samples. Values are expressed as number of samples or median (range). Cadrenal/Civc represents the ratio of cortisol concentrations in the adrenal vein and in the inferior vena cava.
