Average ROC areas measured between 125 and 225 ms following the search array for the FEF neurons recorded in monkey S and monkey B on (A) correct and (B) error trials. All ROC area values are > 0.50 on correct trials, and all but two ROC area values are > 0.50 on error trials indicating that, overall, the FEF neurons were selective for the target location despite the monkeys’ behavioral report.
