Fast protein liquid chromatography elution profiles of chloroplast (chloro) and mitochondrial (mito) MetRS activities on a Bio-Scale Q2 anion exchange column (A) and on a Phenyl-Superose hydrophobic column (B). MetRS activity was tested by aminoacylation of E. coli tRNAs with 35S-labeled methionine. Acid-insoluble radioactivity was counted after 20 min of reaction.
