Proteins were identified by searching the un-interpreted CID spectra against the NCBInr database (NCBInr_20060418) using Mascot (Matrix Science Inc, Boston MA, version 2.1.0). Cross-correlation of the Mascot results with X! Tandem and determination of protein identity probabilities was accomplished by Scaffold™ (Proteome Software Inc, Portland OR, version 2.02.03).
