Germination and ethylene production of wounded dormant (D) and non-dormant (ND) dehulled red rice caryopses imbibed in water or in the presence of ethylene inhibitors. Dormant caryopses were wounded by longitudinal cutting (at time 0), after 4 d of pre-imbibition (at 25 °C); non-dormant caryopses were cut transversally before imbibition of the half-seed with embryo for 5 d at 5 °C, then (at time 0) they were moved to 25 °C.
