Comparison of angiopoietin-1 and -2 levels in whole blood samples from Thai adults with malaria. A-C. Whole blood concentrations of (A) angiopoietin-2 (ANG-2), (B) angiopoietin-1 (ANG-1), and (C) the ratio of ANG-2:ANG-1 (Ratio, expressed as log base 10) were measured in 70 uncomplicated malaria (UM) patients, 36 severe malaria (SM) patients, and 87 cerebral malaria (CM) patients. ***p < 0.0001 by Kruskal-Wallis test with posthoc comparisons using Mann-Whitney U test and Bonferonni correction.
