Immunohistochemistry for Ly-6G and MOMA-2 were used to identify neutrophils and macrophages in 24 hour wounds. Neutrophil (a) and macrophage (b) numbers in tissue directly adjacent to the wound margins were counted in 100X fields. The bars and lines represent the mean number of cells per high power field (HPF) +/− S.E.M.; n = 4 per group. The results were not significant by unpaired t-test.
